RIVESTO-MARMORINO* today, is an entirely natural wall finish for modern times.
RIVESTO-MARMORINO* is composed of finely crushed marble, slaked time and water. It is thus an authentic mineral product, perfectly suited for today's construction and decorative applications, both interior and exterior. The product is supplied ready for use in paste from and has an almost unlimited shelf life if stored in its original container.
RIVESTO-MARMORINO* is available in two versions:
- First, a Fine grain which features a smooth polished feel.
- Secondly, a Course grain recommended for rough substrates and/or external work.
RIVESTO-MARMORINO* offers a number of benefits, including:
- The same product can be used on all steps, from the beginning to the end.
- No sanding is necessary, therefore achieving a dust free work environment.
- Color selections include 25 base colors. The applicator can select and use these to create a wide range of personalised shades.
- The shiny (polished) surface is achieved by burnishing the product in a mechanical way using a special trowel and so no additional polishes, waxes or varnishes are necessary
- The product can be applied to both interior and exterior applications.
- It has a wide range of creative design possibilities (prior to the final step).
- It is perfectly suited for column and restoration work.
- Repairs are always possible, even after many years, without unsightly seams.
- The shelf life is almost unlimited and the product is freeze-thaw stable.

Q & A on Rivesto-Marmorino
Q: What is Rivesto-Marmorino?
A: Rivesto-Marmorino is a wall finish made up of 42% marble in a lime base. Many people know this product as Venetian Plaster. But in reality there are many imitations calling their products by names. We claim Rivesto-Marmorino to be the highest quality product in the field.
Q: Why would anyone want this product on their walls?
A: It is a completely natural product. It is totally composed of stone. That is to say, marble, lime and water. You can have stone walls marble if you will, in your home without the weight of convential marble tile. And you can do it in a seamless application. And it is a real marble product.
Q: What about the colors?
A: As with Rivesto-Marmorino the colours are all natural being based on lime. We have a comprehensive color selection available, or the applicator can mix our tints to mix custom colors.
Q: It sounds interesting, but what unique qualities does your product claim?
A: I'm glad you asked that. There are several things that fascinate me personally about the product. The smooth polished feel of our fine grain product is awesome. But then again I love the stonier attitude of our Carrara grain Rivesto-Marmorino. Then again I know some applicators that use our Carrara grain as a base and then top it off with our fine grain to achieve a classic look. Another amazing thing is that being natural, our Rivesto-Marmorino is just like any other stone and takes humidity in and lets it out. It breathes. And to top is all it can be used inside and outside.
Q: How does one apply your products?
A: We have special trowels made for the application and polishing of this product. Like our product, we import these trowels directly from Italy. They are made from special flexible spring steel designed specifically for use with Rivesto-Marmorino. Interestingly it is not the quality of the steel that makes them special but rather the process used to make them.
